About Our Speaker
This week, we welcome Gina Cahill, who will share her remarkable story of faith, family, and service in Senegal, West Africa.
In the early 1990s, Gina and her husband, Peter (now deceased), embarked on a life-changing journey to Senegal to share their Christian faith with the WOLOF people. They lived and worked there for four years, immersing themselves in a new culture and language while building meaningful connections within the local community.
More than a decade later, in 2005, Gina and Peter returned to Senegal — this time with their three teenage children — spending seven months continuing their mission and deepening their bonds with the people they served.
What to Expect
Gina’s talk will provide an inspiring glimpse into life in West Africa, the challenges and joys of missionary work, and the enduring impact of faith and resilience. Her story reflects courage, compassion, and the power of service — values that align closely with Rotary’s spirit of global community.
